DaBus is our shuttle service that runs between Iron Horse Campground and downtown Sturgis during the rally, so you can leave your bike parked at your site and get to Main Street without worrying about the ride home. Hop on at the campground, ride the 4½ miles to downtown, walk the strip, and catch the shuttle back whenever you're ready. No parking hassles, no worrying about how you'll get home after a beer or two.

Where do I catch DaBus at the campground?

DaBus picks up right here at Iron Horse, so you don't have to go far to start your night. Just head to the pickup spot near the front of the campground and wait for the shuttle to roll up. If you're not sure where that is when you check in, ask us at the general store or the restaurant and we'll point you in the right direction.

We're on HWY 79, about 4½ miles from Main Street. That's a quick ride in the shuttle, but it's far enough that you don't want to be walking it or riding it home late at night. That's the whole reason DaBus exists.

How does the ride to downtown work?

Once you're on board, DaBus takes you straight to downtown Sturgis and drops you close to Main Street, where all the action is. From there you can wander the vendors, check out the bikes lined up along the street, grab something to eat, and take in the crowd without giving a single thought to your bike or your parking spot.

When you're ready to head back, you catch the shuttle downtown and it brings you right back to the campground. Simple as that. You can stay out as long as you like and still know you've got a safe ride waiting.

Here's the part folks appreciate most: you don't have to plan your evening around driving. You can have a good time, take your time, and let someone else handle the road.

Why leave the bike parked instead of riding downtown?

Downtown Sturgis during the rally is packed. Parking is tight, the streets are busy, and you're sharing the road with thousands of other riders who are all trying to get to the same few blocks. Riding your bike into that mess after a long day isn't much of a reward.

Leaving the bike at your site means you get to relax. You're not white-knuckling it through traffic, you're not hunting for a place to park, and you're not worrying about riding back after happy hour. You just enjoy the night and let DaBus do the driving.

It's also the safer call. The roads around Sturgis get crowded and unpredictable during rally week, and the last thing you want is to be riding home tired or after a few drinks. The shuttle takes that whole worry off your plate.

A few tips for riding the shuttle

– Check the shuttle schedule when you check in so you know your pickup and return times.
– Keep a little cash on hand just in case, and ask us at the store if you have questions.
– Plan to catch the shuttle back before the last run of the night so you're not left waiting.
– Travel light. You'll be walking Main Street, so bring only what you need.
