A full hookup RV site at Iron Horse gives you 50-amp electric, water, and sewer right at your rig, so you can run your air conditioning, keep the tank empty, and stay put all week without hunting for a dump station. We also have pull-thru sites for easy setup, electric and water sites without sewer, and dry no-hookup spaces if you'd rather keep it simple. Here's how each one works so you know what you're booking.
What comes with a full hookup site?
Our full hookup sites are built for a week of rally living. You get 50-amp service, which matters when it's hot and you want the AC running while you charge phones, run the fridge, and keep everything else going at the same time. You also get your own water connection and a sewer hookup right at the site, so you can shower, wash dishes, and drain your tanks without breaking camp.
If you're rolling in with a bigger fifth wheel or motorhome, ask about a pull-thru when you book. Pull-thrus let you drive straight in and back out without backing up a trailer after a long day of riding. It's a small thing that makes a big difference when you're tired and just want to settle in.
What's the difference between electric and water sites and full hookups?
Our electric and water sites give you power and a water connection, but no sewer at the site. That's a good fit if you don't mind using the on-site facilities and don't need to dump right at your rig. Plenty of folks camp this way all week without any trouble, especially if they're out at the venues most of the day anyway.
The main thing to think about is your gray and black tanks. Without a sewer hookup, you'll want to watch your levels and manage your water use. If that sounds like more than you want to think about during rally week, go with a full hookup and don't worry about it.
Should I book a dry no-hookup spot instead?
Dry camping is our simplest option. No power, no water, no sewer at the site, just a place to park and camp. It's a good choice if you've got a self-contained rig with solar or a generator, or if you're traveling light and want to keep costs down.
Dry sites work well for riders who spend most of the day and night out at Full Throttle, the Buffalo Chip, or Broken Spoke and really just need somewhere to sleep. You'll still have access to our hot showers, restrooms, laundromat, and general store, so you're not roughing it completely. You just won't have the connections at your own spot.
A few things to know before you book
Whatever site you pick, you're still right in the middle of everything. We're on HWY 79, about 4½ miles from Main Street, across from Rock N the Rally and the Buffalo Chip, and close to Full Throttle and Broken Spoke. When you don't feel like riding, DaBus shuttle runs to downtown, so you can leave the bike parked.
Book early. Rally week fills up fast, and full hookup sites and pull-thrus tend to go first. If you have a big rig or need a specific setup, tell us when you reserve so we can put you in the right spot. And when you come back to camp at night, you'll find live bands, cold beer, happy hour, and a semi-quiet place to rest up for the next day.
