Some of the biggest rally venues sit right around Iron Horse Campground. The Buffalo Chip and Rock N the Rally are directly across HWY 79 from us, and Full Throttle Saloon and the Broken Spoke are both a short ride away. From our sites you can catch music and events at these spots and still be home in minutes.

How close are the big venues to Iron Horse?

We're on HWY 79 in Sturgis, about 4½ miles from Main Street, and that puts us in the middle of a lot of the rally action.

Right across the highway you've got the Buffalo Chip and Rock N the Rally. That's about as close as it gets — you can hear the concerts from parts of the campground on the big nights. Full Throttle Saloon is a few miles up the road, and the Broken Spoke isn't far either. So instead of parking downtown and figuring out a long ride back late at night, you can stay out as long as you want and roll back to your site when you're done.

That closeness is the whole reason we set up here back in 1998. We wanted a spot built for the rally, near where people actually go.

What's the deal with each of these venues?

Here's the quick rundown so you can plan your nights.

**Buffalo Chip** — Right across the highway. Known for its big concert lineup during the rally, with national acts most nights. It's the one you'll hear the most about, and being across the road means you can walk or take a short ride over.

**Rock N the Rally** — Also directly across from us. Another concert and event venue, good if you want a night of live music without going far.

**Full Throttle Saloon** — A few miles away and a rally institution. It's a big, sprawling spot with bands, food, and plenty to look at. Worth a trip at least once during your stay.

**Broken Spoke** — Another well-known saloon with music and a crowd. Easy to reach from here and a solid stop if you're making the rounds.

You don't have to pick just one. A lot of our guests bounce between a couple of these over the course of the week and use the campground as home base in between.

How do I get back and forth without riding tired?

You've got a few good options, and none of them mean sleeping downtown.

For the venues right across the highway, you're close enough to walk or take a quick ride. For the spots a little farther out, you can ride if you're up for it, or catch **DaBus**, our shuttle to downtown Sturgis. That's the easy way to enjoy your night and not worry about the ride home.

And here's the part we're kind of proud of: after a long day of loud everything, you come back to us and it settles down. We keep a semi-quiet atmosphere on purpose. There's live music at the campground most nights, plus the restaurant with cold beer, happy hour, and karaoke — so you can have a good evening right here without leaving. But when you're ready to sleep, it's a place you can actually rest.
